Smoked Apple Chutney Recipe

Traditionally, apple chutney is a combination of fresh apples, onions, ginger and apple cider vinegar. This recipe has it all, but what makes it so special is that you use smoked apples instead.

0.5 Kg apples; peeled, cored and cut into small cubes

½ Medium sized onion, cut into small cubes

100 G raisins

250 G brown sugar

1 Tsp mustard seeds

1 Tsp freshly minced ginger

½ Tsp salt

225 Ml apple cider vinegar

Smoke apple pieces for 30-45 minutes with Maple bisquettes at 150-165°F

Combine apples and all other ingredients in a medium sized sauce pan and simmer for 30-40 minutes

Maple Wood Bisquettes

With a mildly smoky, sweet and subtle flavor, Maple Bisquettes are perfect for smoking turkeys, and enhancing the taste of poultry and game birds.
