Welcome to the Bradley Family! Unboxing your new Bradley Electric Grill / Smoker is the start of some incredible backyard meals. Before you throw on your first batch of burgers, steaks, or slow-smoked pulled pork, there is one quick, essential step: seasoning your unit. Think of it as breaking in a trusty cast-iron skillet - it burns off manufacturing oils, seals the interior, and sets you up for pure, wood-fired flavor from day one.

Why Season Your Electric Grill / Smoker First?
-
Burn Off Factory Residues: Clears out manufacturing oils, smells, and dust left behind from production.
-
Seal the Interior: Builds a protective resin layer along the inner chamber that locks in authentic smoke flavor.
Step-by-Step Seasoning Guide
-
Clean & Prep: Wash your racks, drip tray and water tray with warm soapy water to remove factory dust. Once completely dry, place back inside your unit. Wipe down the interior with a damp cloth.
-
Fill the Water Tray: Fill the water tray with water to the indicated fill line and place it directly beneath the bisquette burner to safely extinguish spent wood.
- Load Bisquettes: Place 3 Bradley Flavor Bisquettes into the feeder tube (any flavor variety works fine). Set the top vent/damper halfway open to ensure balanced airflow during the smoking process.
-
Powering On: Plug the power cord into its own designated outlet. Turn on the main power switch located at the bottom right corner in the back of your Smoker Grill.
-
Set Temperature: Turn the heat dial to medium (or 6 o'clock position). Then turn the smoke button to on and let it run for 1 hour.
-
Cool & Clean: Let the one-hour cycle run its course. Turn off the smoker, let it cool completely, and carefully empty the spent bisquettes.
