Yes, it’s possible to smoke salt and you probably wouldn’t need a recipe for that. However, there are some that are better than others to smoke. Good options are coarse sea salt and kosher salt.
1 cup sea salt
1. Set up smoker for 250 F using wood bisquettes of choice.
2. Take sheet of aluminum foil and fold up the edges. Place the foil on a smoker rack and spread the sea salt evenly across the bottom of the foil.
3. Smoke for about 3 hours.
4. Let the salt come to room temperature. Store in an airtight container and salt shaker.
